Terms of Use
By using JSON Tools you agree to these terms. They are short, written in plain English, and designed to keep the tool useful for everyone.
1. Free for personal and commercial use
JSON Tools is a free, educational utility. You may use the formatter, validator, minifier, auto-fix, examples, and guides for personal projects, at your workplace, in classrooms, in published tutorials, or anywhere else — at no cost.
2. No warranty
The tool is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do our best to produce correct output, but we do not guarantee that:
- The tool will always be available or free of bugs.
- The auto-fix feature will resolve every possible malformed JSON input.
- Parsed output will match a specific downstream schema or API contract.
You are responsible for reviewing any formatted, minified, or auto-fixed JSON before using it in production systems.
3. Your data stays with you
JSON data pasted into the tool is processed entirely inside your browser and is never sent to our servers. See the Privacy Policy for details.
4. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- Attempt to attack, overload, or reverse-engineer the hosting infrastructure.
- Scrape the site with automated tooling at a rate that would impact other users.
- Republish the site's content verbatim without credit. Linking to the original pages is always welcome.
5. Third-party content
The site displays advertising served by Google AdSense and may link to external resources. We do not control or endorse third-party content and are not responsible for it.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JSON Tools and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the site.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
